Our PTO is made up of hard-working parents & teachers who pool their talents to provide practical support for our school. Those listed below volunteered to provide leadership this year. Executive Board

Executive Board members set the direction for PTO events and spending with the principal. They attend a monthly board meeting with the principal as well as the general monthly PTO meetings. They are well informed of all events and happenings at the school.

President	Robin Deferrari	The heart of our PTO! Works with Principal to plan and schedule events. Oversees all committees and resides over all PTO meetings. Full year commitment.

Treasurer	Anastasia Parker	Responsible for accounting records, receives all funds of the Coulson Tough PTO, pays all funds authorized by the PTO board, and keeps an accurate record of all receipts & expenditure. Provides updated budget report at monthly PTO meetings. Full year commitment.

VP of Fundraising	Megan Snell	Manages two school-wide fundraisers each year (e.g. Love for Tough campaign and Spring Fling) with help from committee members. Majority of planning/duties are performed August-September and January-March.

VP of Membership	Samantha Chefas	Manages membership campaign, Friends of Tough Business, and Membership Toolkit database. Assists parents in gaining access to our online directory. Majority of duties performed May-September.

VP of Programs	Heather Johnson	Works with teachers to plan, schedule, and execute field trips for each grade level.

Secretary	Lisha Kriener	Records minutes at all PTO meetings & submits for approval. Sends tax letters to donors.

Parliamentarian	Courtney Henry	Ensures the provisions of the PTO by-laws are followed. Manages nominations for following year.

General Board and Committees

Most committees consist of 1-3 people. If there is a committee you would like to join but not lead, please ask! The more help the better. Some positions are only active during special events (e.g. Book Fair, Spring Fling), while others have sporadic work throughout the year. Beautification (Outdoor)	Leah Floyd Jessica Salinas Wendy Lozano	Serves as liaison with yard service to maintain and plant flower beds; maintains garden/habitat area when needed.

Book Fair Committee	Tracey Louie Jacqueline Calder Nancy Jia Jessica Salinas	Coordinates and manages the Fall and Spring Book Fairs in coordination with Librarian.

Book Fair Assistant		Assists Book Fair Committee with planning and implementation of Fall and Spring Book Fairs.

Counselor Liaison	Jacqueline Calder Whitney Jones Amanda Williams	Works with counselors to provide support and supplies for Red Ribbon Week, Spotlight Ceremonies, and other events as needed. Intermittent work throughout the year.

Fine Arts Room Parent	Jennifer Cantu	Coordinates volunteers for plays, events, and bulletin boards. Intermittent work throughout the year.

Hospitality Coordinator	Courtney Henry	Coordinates refreshments for Cheers & Tears event and select meetings as needed. Primary responsibility is Cheers & Tears refreshments on the first morning of school.

Library Coordinator		Facilitates library volunteers and schedule. Mainly busy during early fall while setting up the schedule, but responsible for staffing volunteers year-round.

Library Assistant		Assists Library Coordinator as needed; fills in for library volunteers as needed.

Marquee	Jessica Cronin Stephanie Stablein Amy Formolo Jennifer Hunter Jackie Sparks	Updates front marquee at direction of principal. A team of 4 works well allowing for 1 day per month.

Partner Share Coordinator	Candice Kemper	Works with business partners to schedule monthly Spirit Day events; distributes flyers at school.

PE Room Parent	Jacqueline Calder	Coordinates volunteers for field day, events, and bulletin boards. Intermittent work throughout the year.

Room Parent Coordinator	Lisha Kriener	Ensures room parents are assigned; communicates information and duties to room parents throughout the year. Full-year commitment.

School Supplies Committee	Megan Eichner Amanda Williams	Works with teachers and suppliers to organize school supply packs for our students. Orders and distributes the school supply packs. Duties from late April-May, then heavy work in early August to organize and distribute school supplies to classrooms.

School Supplies Assistant		Assists School Supply Committee with school supplies ordering and distribution.

6th Grade Events Coordinator	Amy Formolo Kimberly White	Plans and coordinates 6th grade Back to School and Celebration events. Primarily busy in August and May.

Spirit Wear	Mallorie Van Elden Kim McMullan Caroline Juneau Megan Snell Katherine Duhmann	Responsible for design, production, and sales of Spirit Wear merchandise. Busiest at Back to School and Parent Info nights when Spirit Wear is new.

Spring Fling Co-Chairs	Megan Snell Samantha Chefas	VP of Fundraising and VP of Membership work together to plan, coordinate, and manage our Spring Fling festival. Along with the VP of Fundraising, oversees all Spring Fling sub-committees. Planning should begin in December or early January, with event occurring in early March.

Spring Fling Games	Samantha Chefas	Responsible for games/prizes at Spring Fling. Evaluate if new games or prizes are needed, set up games and signs, and coordinate volunteers.

Spring Fling Raffle Baskets	Leah Floyd	Work with Room Parents to collect raffle items, coordinate basket team, and setup/organize baskets.

Spring Fling Silent Auction	Samantha Chefas	Solicit businesses for auction donations and enter into auction software; processes auction items the night of Spring Fling.

Spring Fling Ticket Sales	Jennifer Hunter	Order, process, and distribute event tickets. Daily work for two weeks leading up to Spring Fling and the evening of Spring Fling.

Staff Appreciation Coordinator	Claudia Cantu Rose Snyder	Plans and executes staﬀ appreciation monthly luncheons & Teacher Appreciation Week. Coordinates with principal & PTO president. Full year commitment.

Staff Appreciation Assistant	Alyce Roegelein	Assists Staff Appreciation Coordinator(s) to plan and execute monthly luncheons and Teacher Appreciate Week.

Teacher/Staff Birthday Treats	Jackie Sparks Jacqueline Calder	Provide treats for the teachers/staff with birthdays that month. Full year commitment, but only one treat delivery per month.

Website/Social Media	Samantha Chefas	Manage and update content for PTO website and Facebook page.

Winter Wonderland Committee	Emily McAdams Leah Floyd Tracey Louie	Plan, set up, and manage Winter Wonderland in December. Shopping and planning in November/December, and full week of work in December.

Winter Wonderland Assistants	Jessica Salinas	Assist with student shopping and sales the week of Winter Wonderland.

Yearbook Coordinator	Danielle LaRaia-Barna	Manages production of yearbook, as well as sales and distribution.

Yearbook Assistant		Assists Yearbook Coordinator with photographs as well as design and production of yearbook.

Yearbook Photographers	Martha Cepeda Jessica Salinas	Takes pictures at various events for yearbook.
