Our PTO is made up of hard-working parents & teachers who pool their talents to provide practical support for our school. Those listed below volunteered to provide leadership this year. Executive Board 

Executive Board members set the direction for PTO events and spending with the principal. They attend a monthly board meeting with the principal as well as the general monthly PTO meetings. They are well informed of all events and happenings at the school.

President Robin Deferrari The heart of our PTO! Works with Principal to plan and schedule events. Oversees all committees and resides over all PTO meetings. Full year commitment. 
     
Treasurer Anastasia Parker Responsible for accounting records, receives all funds of the Coulson Tough PTO, pays all funds authorized by the PTO board, and keeps an accurate record of all receipts & expenditure. Provides updated budget report at monthly PTO meetings. Full year commitment. 
     
VP of Fundraising Megan Snell Manages two school-wide fundraisers each year (e.g. Love for Tough campaign and Spring Fling) with help from committee members. Majority of planning/duties are performed August-September and January-March.
     
VP of Membership Samantha Chefas Manages membership campaign, Friends of Tough Business, and Membership Toolkit database. Assists parents in gaining access to our online directory. Majority of duties performed May-September.  
     
VP of Programs Heather Johnson Works with teachers to plan, schedule, and execute field trips for each grade level. 
     
Secretary Lisha Kriener Records minutes at all PTO meetings & submits for approval. Sends tax letters to donors.
     
Parliamentarian Courtney Henry Ensures the provisions of the PTO by-laws are followed. Manages nominations for following year. 

 

General Board and Committees

Most committees consist of 1-3 people. If there is a committee you would like to join but not lead, please ask! The more help the better. Some positions are only active during special events (e.g. Book Fair, Spring Fling), while others have sporadic work throughout the year.
